The Celtics got back in the win column last night, taking down Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns 99-86. Despite missing Jaylen Brown, Evan Fournier, and Robert Williams, the C’s were able to grind out a win behind a spectacular performance from Kemba Walker.

He finished the night with a season-high 32 points to go along with four rebounds and four assists. What was even more impressive, however, was the fact that he did so on such efficient shooting. Walker shot 11-17 from the field and 5-11 from deep. He did not miss a shot from two-point range all night.

This is the second game in a row (that Walker has played in) that he has had a massive impact on the outcome of the game. Just the other night he dropped 26 points in the win vs. Golden State. Although it was outshined by Jayson Tatum’s 44-point night, it was the first time in a long time that Walker was able to make his mark in the scoring column.

These types of performances give hope that Walker can be at his peak come playoff time. Unfortunately, he will likely be sidelined tonight vs. the Nets as he has been sitting out on the second night of back-to-backs all season. The Celtics tip-off against the Nets at 7:30 p.m. (EST) on ESPN.
