The Celtics earned an important Game 3 victory over the Brooklyn Nets last night, 125-119. Brooklyn’s big three of James Harden, Kevin Durant, and Kyrie Irving combined for 96 points, but Jayson Tatum stole the show.

Tatum ended the game with 50 points. It marked the fourth time he reached that total this season including the play-in game and the playoffs. Steph Curry (3) and Bradley Beal (2) were the only other players to score 50 at least twice. He also added six rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and a block to his totals.

The two-time All-Star shot 16-30 (53.3%) from the field and 5-11 (45.5%) from deep. He got to all of his spots on the offensive end, and it seemed as though no one on the Nets could keep up with him. With Jeff Green injured for at least the next 10 days, a variety of undersized players were forced to switch onto Tatum. He took full advantage of those mismatches.

With the series now at 2-1 in favor of the Nets, the Celtics hold home-court advantage once again in Game 4. TD Garden will be at near full capacity with over 17,000 fans in attendance. Game 4 tips off tomorrow at 7:00 PM on TNT.
