The Celtics got blown out by the Nets last night, 120-108. While Boston struggled to get things going offensively, Evan Fournier did manage to have himself a rather interesting night, while Marcus Smart brought the offense.

Fournier bounced back from Game 1, scoring 16 points last night. He also acted as one of Boston’s more efficient scorers, shooting 5-9 from the field and 4-5 from deep. His four three-pointers accounted for a quarter of Boston’s total threes (12) on the game. Fournier and Marcus Smart combined for nine of Boston’s 12 threes.

Smart ended the game with a team-high 19 points. He also added three rebounds, six assists, and two steals to his totals. He shot 6-13 from the field and 5-8 from deep.

The French swingman also got into it with Kevin Durant. The pair got tangled up fighting for the ball and Fournier had some choice words for Durant. Lots of Boston fans took to Twitter to compliment his energy. His scrap with Durant seemed like the only form of intensity the Celtics had all night.

The Celtics now find themselves down 0-2 in the series. Game 3 will take place this Friday, May 28. Tip-off is set for 8:30 PM on TNT.
