We’re So Back

As my fellow Banner Town author Danny Hanley likes to say when we win the gulag in Call of Duty: Warzone - “we’re so back”.

This will be a super short article, but I just wanted to address some things quickly. So now that the NBA is (almost) officially coming back, there are a few topics I’ll be hoping to explore in the coming weeks before it does. I want to take a look at who the Celtics should be playing off the bench, in my personal opinion. Who should be getting the ball at the end of games? What lineup should Brad Stevens be running in the final minutes of games? Will Enes Kanter be back to playing like he was earlier this season? How is Robert Williams III going to fit into the rotation?

If I’m being honest, and I know I’ve said this a lot, I’m just so excited to have NBA basketball back. I was talking to my dad earlier today about how when July 31st rolls around, I plan on watching every single game on TV to make up for lost time. I don’t care who’s playing. I neglected watching a lot of the non-Celtics games this year, but this long break made me realize I need to be watching every minute of every game I can while I have the chance. All this being said, you bet your ass I’ll be seated right in front of my TV whenever there is a Celtics game on, I don’t care what’s going on around me.

I’m so ready for the Jayson Tatum stepbacks; the Jaylen Brown jams; the Tacko Fall garbage time minutes; the Kemba Walker pull-up three off of a Daniel Theis screen. It’s all going to be so beautiful. As we receive more information on how the return of basketball is going to work, expect updates with some articles on my thoughts/predictions on what will be happening. Two more months everyone. Two more months.
