The Celtics fell to the Kings last night, losing 111-116. Despite the tough loss, Jayson Tatum Stood out as a key performer, pouring in 27 points, 9 rebounds, and 11 assists.

On a night where the offense clearly experienced some killer droughts, Tatum was the guy who could always open the floodgates. Whenever he checked back into the game the team seemed to receive a giant energy boost that pushed them forward. A lot of the lineups he was a part of were compiled of him playing with a bunch of bench guys, but that “Kobe-esque” style of offense actually works out pretty well for the Celtics. Tatum is just such a talented player on the offensive end, that he’s able to create his own shots at will.

Many thought this would be the day Tatum would record his first career triple-double, but that final rebound eluded him. Regardless, it was another stellar performance from the young superstar. Boston’s next game will take place tomorrow when they face the 17-6 Clippers at 10:00 PM EST on ESPN.
