Brooklyn got the better of the Celtics last night, blowing them out 141-126 at TD Garden. The C’s now find themselves in a 3-1 hole heading back to Barclays Center for Game 5. Despite the loss, Jayson Tatum still managed to stand out.

Tatum finished the game with 40 points, with seven rebounds and six assists to go along with it. He shot 10-22 (45.5%) from the field and 3--7 (42.9%) from deep in the performance. Tatum even got to the free-throw line 17 times, going 17-17 from the stripe. The two-time All-Star recorded one steal and two blocks as well.

The Nets did a much better job of containing Tatum in Game 4. He was getting to all his spots in Game 3, but the Nets made sure to focus more on denying him looks last night. While he did explode in the first quarter, Brooklyn absolutely shut him down in the second. Tatum shot 0-2 with zero points in the second quarter.

With Kemba Walker sidelined, the majority of the scoring duties fell on Tatum. He just couldn’t match the offensive firepower of the Nets and the Celtics now face elimination. Game 4 tips off tomorrow at 7:30 PM on TNT.
